Release Notes - Mobile v6.2.x

Thanks for updating — this release contains two headline changes: a brand update across the app and the first release of Flight Operations Messaging inside Spidertxt.

What’s new

1) Vellox rebrand (Spidertracks → Fleet Manager)

• The app has been rebranded from Spidertracks to Fleet Manager (formerly Spidertracks) to align with the Vellox group styling and marketing.

• Impact: This is a visual/marketing change only — no functional changes to how the app works. The rebrand is visible on the app login screen and in a few support links.

• Menu link updates

  • More… > Support > About now points to velloxgroup.com (the marketing site).

  • More… > Support > Feedback now links to the Vellox ideas portal.

• This brings the mobile app into line with changes being rolled out across the website and wider product family.

2) Flight Operations Messaging (preview)

Flight Operations Messaging introduces a powerful, aircraft‑centric communication channel that keeps your operations connected—everywhere your aircraft fly. 

• What it is: Spidertxt groups reimagined to suit Aviation operations. You can now create a 'conversation' per aircraft that contains your Operations team and that pilots are automatically added to when they fly that aircraft. 

• Why it matters: Enables direct, context-preserving communications between pilots and a Flight Ops team — improves coordination and keeps operational conversation inside the same Spidertxt flow.

• High-level features & benefits

  • Simple Pilot ↔ Web Flight Ops messaging within the Spidertxt workflow.

  • Keeps operational chat tied to the flight context.

• Important: Flight Ops messaging requires configuration on the web (admin/Flight Ops setup). The mobile app surface will show messaging in Spidertxt when your organisation’s Flight Ops is configured and enabled from the web.
