New Features

Spidertxt Group Messages (5.8.0)

We are pleased to announce the addition of Groups messaging! 

When the following criteria have been met:

• Spidertxt is enabled for the Organisation
• The logged in mobile user has been added to one or more Group by an Admin
• The Group is 'Active' and has Spidertxt 'Enabled'

Then in the mobile Spidertxt page, this Group will be selectable as a Contact with which a messaging thread can be created. Alternatively, if someone else messages in this thread first, the Group will show up in active message threads automatically.

Notable new features include:

• Easily distinguish Individual vs. Group message threads by the icon
• Review who is in a Group by selecting the (info) tab at the top right of the chat window
• Easily identify the Organisation a Group or Individual messaging Contact belongs to
• Get notified of members being added or removed from Groups
• See delivery status in the Threads message preview
• See who sent the last messsage in the Threads message preview

MVP-50 Integration (5.8.5)

Electronics International (EI) MVP-50 and CGR-30 devices can now pass serial data streams to Spidertracks through the Spider X device. Requires Spider X firmware v7.1.3 or later.
