New Features
Favorite Locations & ETA (5.5.0)
The Map menu now contains a Favorite Locations feature. Tapping the Star button opens a list of existing Favorite Locations and allows addition of new ones. Options for display include showing one, all or none.
Similar to the web application, when viewing an active track there is now an option to request the ETA from the aircrafts current location to it's destination. The destination can be selected manually or from your list of Favorite Locations. Once a destination has been specified, the estimated time of arrival is shown, along with the remaining distance and estimated travel time.
Spidertxt Quick Messages (5.5.3)
Flight Following messaging for pilots is now a lot easier with the introduction of Quick Messages.
From within the 'compose' window of a message thread, the 'Send' button is now replaced with a 'Quick Message' if no characters have been added to the message yet.
Selecting the 'Quick Message' button opens a list of predefined, common message strings that pilots can now send with one touch, avoiding the need to repetitively enter the same string on a touch keyboard.
