New Features
Spider X Orientation Correction (5.6.0)
All Spider X devices automatically send 1s roll/pitch data to drive 3D Flight Replay and Insights features.*
Calibration of the install orientation and aircraft orientation is fully automated in most cases where the Spider has been installed within the orientation window detailed in the Installation Manual.
Calibration exceptions mostly occur when an aircrafts resting attitude does not match it's neutral flight attitude (when in straight an level fight), for example tail dragger aircraft, or because the Spiders orientation has been altered - for example due to aircraft transfer or being mounting to an opening canopy.
Customers now have the option to manually retrigger a recalibration, and also to add manual offsets to the auto calibration to compensate for resting inclines.
This new feature can be accessed in the Advanced Setup menu under Orientation Correction when paired with a Spider X device:
* Requires suitable cellular service; not all countries supported.
Note: If the Spider is linked to an opening canopy, ensure the canopy is closed when the Reset function is triggered.
