Severity Levels for Exceedance Events

We're pleased to announce a significant upgrade to our Insights module; Exceedance rules can now be defined with three severity levels: Low, Medium and High. This enables more seamless alignment between the Insights module and formal safety management frameworks. It also enables a more complete picture of your fleet's flight events via low severity events without risk of losing visibility of the important medium and high severity events. 

For customers with access to the updated dashboard, Event rules config page shows a new option to 'Enable Severity' on any existing rules. New rules have severity enabled by default, with the option to disable:

The updated dashboard supports filtering via severity level, and shows event statistics and charts using the severity colour theme:

Event drill down now supports filtering by event severity and links through to the new Flight Explorer. 

Within Flight Explorer, the Timeline panel now shows colour coded exceedance events along with details on the peak exceedance value, along with the duration of the exceedance.

We will be working with Insights module subscribers over the coming months to provide a managed transition to the updated dashboard such that regular operations and reporting are not impacted.

Notification via Severity Level

Email and SMS notification configurations can now be updated to include a minimum severity level, making it easier for relevant members to only be notified on medium and or high severity events, allowing low severity thresholds and events to be captured for data gathering/surveillance without causing notification fatigue/overuse.
