New Features
Insights: Minimum duration for exceedance events (22 Oct)
We’ve extended the flexibility of Insights Event Rules with a new Minimum Duration (s) setting.
Previously, events triggered as soon as a single data point exceeded a threshold. Now, you can define how long that threshold must be exceeded before the event activates — from 1 second (default) up to 600 seconds.
All existing and new rules will automatically include this setting, defaulting to 1 second — except Peak G-Force, which remains at 0 seconds since those events are already processed in Spider X.
Why this matters:
This update helps filter out short, noisy spikes to reduce false positives and makes event definitions much more accurate — especially for operational or engine exceedance events that require a sustained condition to be valid.
Where to find it:
When editing an Event Rule, you’ll now see a Minimum Duration (s) field beneath your threshold settings.
Modules Management (9th Dec)
The Spiderxt module management page has been replaced with a "Modules" page which contains a tabbed view of available modules. The current defaults are Spiderxt and Insights. Watch this space for exciting new modules coming soon!
Note that along with this change, now only Org 'owner' role is able to change the active/inactive status of a module.
Introducing Fleet Manager (19th Dec)
Spidertracks has re-branded to Fleet Manager as part of the broader Vellox Suite of Flight Operations software. As our platform has evolved beyond flight tracking into a comprehensive operational capability, the Fleet Manager name more clearly reflects its role within the suite—providing real-time visibility, operational awareness, and coordination across aircraft and teams. This change helps align Spidertracks with the other products in the Vellox ecosystem and our long-term vision for integrated flight operations.
For users, this update is primarily about alignment and clarity rather than functional change. Fleet Manager continues to deliver the same capabilities, data, and workflows you rely on today, now positioned as one of the five key pillars of the Vellox Suite. No action is required, and there is no impact to access, data, or day-to-day use—only a clearer understanding of how this product fits into a unified flight operations platform.
