Please check that you are using the latest version of the mobile App:
1. Open the App.
2. Login with the details that you use to sign in with on app.spidertracks.io.
3. Tap More.
4. Tap Spider Connection.
5. Tap Connect.
6. Tap the X to close the Spider Page.
The connection may take a few minutes depending if the Spider has a clear view of the sky. The next time the Spider powers up within Bluetooth range (10m) to your phone, with the application open, it will automatically attempt to connect.
Pair with Spider X via Aircraft Registration
Pilots can now pair with a Spider X device according to the registration of the aircraft it is installed in;
This feature improves efficiency and reduces errors for pilots rotating through larger fleets by making it easy to identify and pair with the correct Spider when using Spidertxt.
Once setup requirements have been met, this service will work anywhere - even without mobile internet.
Note:
- Incompatible Registration: This is because the aircraft registration is not set or has a dash in the tail number. We support A-Z, 0-9 and do not support "-" and do not allow spaces.
- The first time you connect to a Spider 6, Spider 7 or Spider 8 you will need to manually connect.
- In your iPhone settings make sure that Bluetooth is enabled, please DO NOT PAIR at this stage.
Note:
To Be Able To Use Spidertxt You Need:
- To have signed up / created a user account
- Be an invited member to an organisation that has enabled Spidertxt
- Spidertracks does not recommend sharing accounts for use with Spidertxt, please see this article for more information.
- If you are going flying and want to use Spidertxt, please make sure that you are logged out from all other devices (such as the Spidertracks website), before connecting your smartphone or tablet to the Spider
