Applying Filters
Several filters can be applied to the flight summary table to assist with identifying the subset of flights of interest.
1 | Filter by date range | Click in the date box and specify start and end dates. The default is 3 months. |
2 | Filter by aircraft | Multi-select the group of aircraft of interest. The default is all visible aircraft. |
3 | Filter short tracks | Hides tracks with zero duration (0 minutes; only one point). |
4 | Filter static tracks | Hides tracks with insignificant total distance traveled. |
5 | Filter by SOS status | Select to filter by tracks with Active or Closed SOS. |
Individual filters can be removed by clicking 'Reset' within the filter. All filters can be reset by selecting the 'Clear Filters' button.
Viewing Flight Reports
To view a single flight, click on the row of interest. This will take you to the Flight Report page, where you can review the track on a map, the track events in a timeline, and aircraft flight parameters in a chart.
To view multiple flights, (1) Select multiple rows (max 5 at once), then click on (A) View Flights.
See History - Flight Report for more information on the Flight Report feature.
When any flights are selected, a summary of count, total distance and total time will be displayed at the top of the table.
Viewing Insights Data and 3D Flight Replays
The Insights Data and 3D Flight Replays page contains a summary of your flights in greater detail. created across your fleet.
1. Simply click the track you want to view.
The different sections are as follows:
1 | Track Summary |
2 | Map View |
3 | 3D Replay, this panel can display in track mode or Ribbon mode*. the map can be manipulated by holding the left mouse button on the map and rotating the view. |

What if the 3D-FR option is not available?
The availability of high resolution data required to drive 3D-FR and detailed chart views is indicated on the History page under the INSIGHTS DATA column. One of the following statuses will be shown:
Available | All high-resolution data for the flight has been uploaded to Spidertracks cloud and is available for review.
Archived | This status indicates the data is > 6 months old. To restore access to this data, please contact support@spidertracks.com
Data upload incomplete | Some 3D data has been uploaded, but some are outstanding. The Spider X will continue uploading the remaining data when it next has power and a cellular signal.
Awaiting upload | Data upload for this flight has not yet begun. This normally indicates either no cellular connection was achieved during the flight, or that the data is still queued behind earlier flights that were being uploaded.
Not available |
Either no data has been uploaded for this flight within 2 weeks of the flight, or data health checks indicate the dataset is unable to be completed or shown. |
|
Spider X required |
Only Spider X supports high-resolution flight data. All other devices will always show this status. To upgrade to Spider X, please contact Spidertracks sales. |
At least one spatial view must always be selected. Consequently, if 3D-FR is not available the 2D Map control cannot be disabled:
Downloading Flights
A link to Download information about any selected flight(s) is displayed at the top of the table.
Three download options are provided:
1 | CSV summary file | Exports the values shown in the flight summary table (for selected rows), enabling this information to be conveniently incorporated into business operations and reporting. |
2 | CSV detail file |
Exports position and event data for a flight as used to create the flight track in the Flight Report map view. The format is CSV. |
3 | KML file |
Exports position and event data in an open file format used to display geographic data in an Earth browser such as Google Earth. |
You can also export the tracks from the Flight Explorer page:
The limit per download is 200 flights.
Deleting Flights
A link to Delete any selected flight(s) is displayed at the top of the table.
If you are an Administrator for your organisation, deleting a flight will delete it for all members of your organisation.
If you are not an administrator, the flight will only be deleted from your account. Other members that had visibility of this track will continue to do so.
