Flight Explorer enables past flights to be replayed and understood though a mix of perspectives.
Flight Reports are accessed from the History page; Simply click the track you want to view (1):
Flight Explorer contains the following view panels:
1 | Track Summary |
2 | Map View |
3 | 3D Replay, this panel can display in track mode or Ribbon mode*. the map can be manipulated by holding the left mouse button on the map and rotating the view. |
4 | Altitude & Speed Events |
Each can be enabled/disabled with the 'panel controls' in the top right:
At least one spatial view must always be selected. Consequently, if 3D-FR is not available the 2D Map control cannot be disabled.
The playback controls allow synchronised replay between all of the panels.
The panels are cross-linked, clicking on an event in the timeline will make the rest of the panels jump to that point.
1 | You can play the entire track, pause, rewind and forward to any point by using the media player controls. |
2 | You can drag the altitude and speed bar to any specific point in the track to view the track events, and 3D replay that took place. |
3 | You can use the media player slider to drag the track to a specific point. |

Note: Resolution of data will depend on the reporting interval set for each spider, e.g. VFDR tracks will display data points for every 15 seconds.
These two GPS parameters sent over Iridium will be the default display.
Parameters from Iridium display in user preference units.
When there is no data available to display in the time series chart, the widget will display with the following text: 'This chart is not available for this flight. If this is a recent flight, the data may be currently under processing. Please check back again later'. The most common cause is that a flight is very recent (finished within the last hour) and the data processing is still in progress.
