Speed Up and Slow Down Notifications are enabled under Aircraft Settings.
Speed Up and Slow Down notifications are the settings that can be used to inform your members that your aircraft has taken off or landed based on a threshold speed. This function is enabled under your Aircraft Settings.
You can customise how your Speed Up / Slow Down notifications are displayed by updating the canned messages on our website, these will then be sent via SMS or by email to your members. Please see this article for more information: Setting Up And Customising Notification Messages
How To Setup Speed Up & Slow Down Notifications.
1. Select Admin.
2. Select Organisation.
3. Click Aircraft & Spiders - Spider X.
4. Select the Aircraft.
5. Select Reporting.
6. Update the Speed Threshold.
7. Click Save.
Once set up a position report will automatically be added to the map and flight detail boxes and the notification will also sent to those members you have selected to receive this notification.
Note: Speed up and Slow down messages are not sent when using Automated Watch.
When using Automated Watch the enable transition speed option will determine when Automated Watch starts instead.
The minimum threshold speed is 10 knots.
How to Set Up And Customise Speed Up and Slow Down Notifications.
1. Select Admin.
2. Select Organisation.
3. Click Notifications.
4. Select the Aircraft you would like to customise the notifications for or you can use the Apply To All Aircraft function, which will allow you to apply batch settings to all the aircraft in your account.
5. Select Slow Down or Speed Up Events.
6. To edit the Event Message, select the text in the box and update it to your personal preference.
7. Next, select who the message should be sent to, and how SMS or email.
8. Click Save.
