Messaging in Fleet Manager (Spidertxt and Flight Ops Messaging) is the built-in communication modules that enables two-way text communication between team members, whether they are on the ground or in an aircraft.
Through Spidertxt, users can send and receive messages within the Fleet Manager platform (both web and mobile), giving teams a reliable, integrated way to coordinate, share updates, and stay in touch, even when aircraft are out of cellular range.
Spidertxt now offers 3 solutions for staying in touch with your team;
Individual Messaging |
Send Messages to a single user. |
|
|
If a group has messaging enabled, it becomes a single contact you can message, and all members of that group receive the message. Essentially a broadcast communication tool that helps teams share updates quickly and consistently with everyone who needs the information. |

How to Start Using Spidertxt via the Web Module (Fleet Ops Messaging)
Flight Ops Messaging gives you a clear, real-time view of your aircraft while it’s in flight. From the Flight Page, you can see the aircraft’s location, check its status, and communicate directly with the pilot or crew connected to the Spider. It creates a fast, reliable way for teams to stay informed and coordinated during every mission.
Instead of scattered messages or individual DMs, Flight Ops Messaging keeps everyone aligned in one persistent conversation per aircraft, making communication easier to follow, reducing chat noise, and ensuring the right people always have the information they need.
It’s a simple, powerful way for flight crews and operations teams to stay connected, no matter where the aircraft is flying..
Using Flight Ops In your Organisation (Flight Page)
When Flight Ops messaging module is enabled, as soon as the enabled aircraft becomes active a new panel will automatically appear on the right-hand side of your screen.
The expanded panel enables you to:
Monitor key system events, Flight start and end in real time.
See who is paired with the Spider (e.g., pilot or crew member).
Instantly connect and communicate with the paired pilot or crew.
You can also choose to expand or collapse the panels to maximize your screen space when needed.
Note:
On the Flight panel when expanded you can see who is paired with the Spider at any time by hovering over the Spidertxt icon.
This change and feature brings a new level of value to the flying page allowing you instant updates.
Other Spidertxt Features.
1. Search Function. Easily search for other Users, Groups and Threads by name.
2. Select your View, choose between seeing all threads or specific ones.
