Notifications are canned messages that can be sent from the Spider to the website, via SMS or by email to your members.
These can be customize to how your members receive these and set up unique messages per aircraft and per event. Please see this article on Setting Up And Customising Notification Messages.
This function can only be done by the account owner or one of the account administrators.
Sending Mark Notifications Using A Spider X
The Spider X is slightly different to our older models of Spiders, the Spider X can be used in conjunction with our mobile app keypad downloadable from either the IOS or Google Play Store.
Once downloaded, and you have paired with your Spider X.
1. Enable the keypad.
2. Tap the Mark notifications to send the notification you want.

Sending Mark Notifications Via Spider Models 1 - 8
The green Mark button on the Spiders keypad is how the Mark notifications are activated.
Pressing the Mark button once will send a Mark 1 position report
Pressing the Mark button twice will send a Mark 2 position report
Pressing the Mark button three times will send a Mark 3 position report
Pressing the Mark button once four times sends a Mark 4 position report
These will appear on the website and be sent to any of the elected members.
Note:
- If a custom notification message is set on the website, such as 'Taking Off' this message will be displayed in the Flight Track Information description and the position report box.
- If no custom message is set it will display as 'Mark'.
- The notification will go to a member by email or SMS, as soon as the position report is received by the website.
How to Set Up And Customise Mark Notifications.
1. Select Admin.
2. Select Organisation.
3. Click Notifications.
4. Select the Aircraft you would like to customise the notifications for or you can use the Apply To All Aircraft function, which will allow you to apply batch settings to all the aircraft in your account.
5. Select any of the Mark Events.
6. To edit the Event Message, select the text in the box and update it to your personal preference.
7. Next, select who the message should be sent to, and how SMS or email.
8. Click Save.
