How to Set Up Automated Watch and Watch Notifications

Automated Watch, is the active tracking option, that will watch over you as you fly and generate an alert if there is a disconnection with the satellite network.

When using Automated Watch, the Spider will automatically turn on and start sending your position report every one to two minutes after take off. The Spider will send one initial point and then nothing further until it passes through the enabled transition speed.

How To Setup Automated Watch

1. Select Admin.

2. Select Organisation.

3. Click Aircraft & Spiders.

4. Select the Aircraft.

5. Select Reporting.

6. Update the Speed Threshold.

7. Click Save.

Note:

• The minimum threshold speed is 10 knots.
• Speed Up and Slow Down messages are not sent when using Automated Watch.

 

How to Set Up And Customise Watch Notifications.

1. Select Admin.

2. Select Organisation.

3. Click Notifications.

4. Select the Aircraft you would like to customise the notifications for or you can use the Apply To All Aircraft function, which will allow you to apply batch settings to all the aircraft in your account.

5. Select Watch.

6. To edit the Event Message, select the text in the box and update it to your personal preference.

7. Next, select who the message should be sent to, and how SMS or email.

8. Click Save.
